WHY I AM

I wasn’t always in shape—in fact, I used to weigh over 300 pounds. It wasn’t until a bar altercation made me realize just how out of shape I was that I decided something had to change. I knew if I’d been fitter, I could have defended myself better. Another wake-up call came when I was goofing around with friends. After less than a minute of running, I found myself lying in the back of a car, struggling to catch my breath. It was a moment that stuck with me longer than I'd like to admit.

That was the turning point. With no one to guide me and little support, I did the only thing I could think of—I started running. It wasn’t easy, but it was a start. Eventually, I found my way into an MMA gym. I wasn’t exactly eager, but that’s where I began to truly care about myself. My workouts, paired with long hours working in a scrap yard under the Texas sun, helped me shed the weight.

As I trained, I found a passion for martial arts. I earned my brown belt in Judo and started learning other disciplines to round out my skills. This dedication led me to start my amateur MMA career, and after a few fights, I decided to go pro. Eventually, I got the chance to fight in UFC's Contender Series and was invited back for a second time. I fight because I love the sport and the constant drive to improve—it’s a journey that still drives me today.

These experiences have shaped me into the trainer I am now. I know firsthand how tough it can be to lose weight and change your life, which is why I’m here to help others do the same. As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, I focus on creating personalized training programs that are both effective and safe. Whether you’re looking to boost your athletic performance, recover from an injury, or just get fitter, I’m committed to helping you succeed.

In every session, I aim to create an environment that’s both challenging and supportive. I want to inspire and motivate you, pushing you to reach your full potential. My background in competitive sports gives me a unique perspective on overcoming obstacles and staying committed to long-term goals.
